Every case page on this site is built from court filings rather than from a summary written by a supporter. That takes time. Until the docket has been read, the dates confirmed and the unfavorable facts written down alongside the favorable ones, there is nothing here worth your trust and nothing here worth publishing.
That applies with particular force here. The claim above — that the judge who presided over his criminal case was one he had beaten in earlier civil litigation — is the kind of assertion that either checks out on the record or it does not. It will not appear on the finished page in any stronger form than the documents support, and if the documents do not support it, it will not appear at all.
So this page says what is verified and stops. It will be replaced with the full account, sourced document by document, the way every other case on this site is written.
If you know something about this case
This is where the work actually comes from. Documents, not opinions.
- Court filings. Judgments, transcripts, sentencing memoranda, orders, recusal motions. Anything on either docket.
- The earlier civil case. Filings, the disposition, and anything showing who appeared and who presided.
- Records held by former counsel. Frequently the most important documents in a case, and frequently the hardest to get.
- Facts that cut against him. We publish those too, and a page that omits them is worthless.
